Cancellation & refunds

Cancellation & refunds

Zykon is pre-launch. This page will be updated before public release.

Last updated: 18 August 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains when a payment made through Zykon can be cancelled, when it can be refunded, who is responsible for deciding, and how long the money takes to come back. It sits alongside our terms of use and our privacy policy.

It applies to anyone paying a participating shop through a Zykon code, and to founding brands and creators who have applied to join. Zykon is operated from Surat, Gujarat, India, and the pilot is limited to Surat.

2. Nothing is sold on this website

Zykon does not currently sell anything, and this website does not take payments. There is no cart, no subscription, no product to buy. The forms on this site collect applications and waitlist details only. Nothing on zykon.in will ever charge you.

The rest of this policy describes how cancellations and refunds work for payments made at a participating shop's counter, which is what Zykon facilitates when the pilot is running.

3. Cancelling before you pay

Up to the moment you confirm payment, you can cancel simply by not paying. Scanning a Zykon code, entering a bill amount or entering a creator's code does not commit you to anything. Close the screen and walk away — nothing is charged and no record of a transaction is created.

A creator's code applied but not paid on earns nobody anything. No commission, no Zykoins, no obligation.

4. After you pay

Once payment is confirmed, the money has gone to the shop for goods or services the shop provided. This is the part people most often misunderstand, so plainly:

  • You are buying from the shop, not from Zykon. The meal, the haircut, the clothes — the shop sold them to you. Zykon facilitated the payment and applied the discount.
  • Whether a purchase can be cancelled or refunded is the shop's decision, under the shop's own cancellation and refund policy and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Ask the shop first.
  • Zykon will not refuse to help. If the shop agrees to a refund, we will process the reversal on our side and chase the payment partner until the money moves. If a shop is unresponsive, write to us and we will take it up with them directly.

Where the failure is ours — you were charged the wrong amount, a discount you were entitled to was not applied, or the payment was captured twice — the fault is not the shop's and we will refund you without sending you back to them.

5. How refunds are made

  • Refunds go back the way they came. To the original card, UPI handle, wallet or bank account. We cannot redirect a refund to a different account, and we will never ask you for card details, your UPI PIN or an OTP in order to process one. Anyone who does is not us.
  • Timing. Once a refund is approved, we release it to the payment partner within 2 working days. It then typically reaches your account within 5 to 7 working days, depending on your bank. The last leg is out of our hands.
  • Amount. You are refunded what you actually paid — the discounted amount, not the pre-discount bill. If you paid ₹420 on a ₹600 bill, ₹420 is what comes back.
  • Partial refunds are possible where only part of an order is cancelled or returned, and are calculated on the same discounted basis.
  • No refund fee. Zykon does not charge you anything to process a refund.

6. Failed and duplicate payments

If money left your account but the payment failed, or you were charged twice for the same bill, you do not need the shop's agreement and you do not need to ask us — it reverses automatically.

  • Automatic reversal of a failed transaction is expected within 5 to 7 working days, in line with the Reserve Bank of India's turn-around-time framework for failed transactions.
  • If it has not reversed by then, email us with the date, the amount and the shop's name. We will raise it with the payment partner and keep you updated until it is resolved.
  • Where compensation for delayed reversal is payable under the RBI framework, it is payable by the entity that held the funds, and we will help you pursue it.

7. Discounts, commission and Zykoins

When a payment is refunded, everything attached to it unwinds:

  • The creator's commission is reversed. A refunded bill is not a sale, so no commission is owed on it. If the commission has already been paid out, it is adjusted against the creator's next settlement rather than clawed back from their bank account.
  • Zykoins earned on that payment are removed from your balance. If a partial refund is made, a proportionate number is removed.
  • Zykoins themselves have no cash value and cannot be refunded, exchanged or converted to money. They are reward points, not a stored balance and not a prepaid instrument. Redemption does not exist yet.

8. Withdrawing an application

Founding brand and founding creator applications are free, and joining the waitlist is free. There is nothing to refund — but you can withdraw at any time by emailing us, and we will delete your application. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data when you do.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. If we decline it, nothing has been charged and nothing is owed.

9. Fees and subscriptions

Zykon charges shops and creators nothing to join, and no monthly fee. We take a percentage of bills paid through a Zykon code, and only when a code is actually used. There is no subscription to cancel and no recurring payment to stop.

If that ever changes, we will publish the pricing here and in the terms before charging anyone, and a paid plan will always be cancellable.

10. How to raise a request

Email officialzykon@gmail.com with:

  • the date and approximate time of the payment
  • the shop's name
  • the amount
  • the mobile number you paid from
  • what went wrong

We acknowledge every request within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 7 working days. If it needs the shop or the payment partner to act, it may take longer — and we will tell you that rather than leaving you guessing.

11. Grievance Officer

If a request is not resolved to your satisfaction, escalate it. In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020:

  • Grievance Officer: Laksh Salecha
  • Email: officialzykon@gmail.com
  • Address: Zykon, R Tower 112, Citylight, Surat, Gujarat 395007, India

We will acknowledge any complaint within 48 hours of receiving it, and resolve it within 15 days. If we can't resolve it in that time, we'll tell you why and when we expect to.

12. Changes to this policy

Zykon is pre-launch, and this policy will change before public release — particularly once the payment partner is confirmed and Zykoin redemption exists. We will update the date at the top when it does, and we will email anyone on the waitlist about material changes.

The version published here at the time of your payment is the one that applies to it.
